Keith Parsons
Keith Parsons has been Somerset’s leading all rounder for the last decade, being only the second player in Somerset’s history (alongside Ian Botham) to score 5,000 runs and take 100 wickets in both first class and List A cricket.
It was no surprise then that Keith won the Man of the match award for his innings of 60 off 52 balls and 2 wickets in the 2001 C&G Final. He was also an instrumental figure in Somerset’s successful 20/20 campaign, playing every match.
His top score was 193 against the West Indies and his best bowling was 5-13 against Lancashire.
Keith retired from 1st class cricket in 2008 having enjoyed a successful career over 16 years. Keith is now an invaluable member of the Peak Performance coaching. He is well qualified, having passed his ECB Level III award, and his knowledge he passes on to young players about one day cricket is not to be missed.
